Text: Acts11:20-26, 26:28; Matt16:19-22; Num18:21-24; Mal3:10 Christians are Christlike; this are people that's has been regenerated by the blood of Jesus; people that has repented their sinful habits, turn away from sin, and from following the devil to the living God in prompt obedience to His word through their faith in believing in death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, always walking to please God. Tithes is the ten percent of our income as a salary earner or business owner, outside the capital we use to embark on a business Offering is the provision we give outside our Tithes to support God's work or help our fellow men e.g. project offering, seed offering etc. (2Cor9:6-8; Matt25:34-46).
1) Call to be a Christian and the payment of Tithes and offering
Matt11:28-30; Matt23:23; Acts26:28-29
The call of Christ to sinners that are heavily laden to be free is still ringing today, for them to know that their lives is in danger because the time is at hand and their souls is precious before God that He came to died in person of His Son Jesus Christ for the remission of their sin (Rom3:25-26) for them to know that their life is not their own, that all men has been created for His glory, and pleasure, they need to worship Him in truth with their substance that He has bless them with for them to be His children indeed and have a place in Him in heaven.
2) Characters to Christian for them to pay Tithes and Offering
The biblical example of people to Christians to understand that they are saved to serve and honor God with their substance
I. Abraham (Gen14:18-20; He 7:9)
II. Jacob (Gen28:14-22)
III. Children of Israel (Num18:21-24; Mal3:10)
IV. Melchidesek (Heb7): if the priesthood of Christ is after the order of Melchidesek and Abraham honor God in him by giving him the tenth of all, the Christian alt to honour God by paying their tithes as God blessed us
V. Early Christian (Matt23:23; 1Cor16:1-3)
3) Commendation to Christian that Pay Tithe and Offering
The earthly and heavenly reward for Christlike people that honour God with their substance in paying their Tithes and offerings regularly
I. Abundant Provision (2Cor9:8; Mal3:10-12)
II. All round Safety (Mal3:11-12)
III) Assurance of having treasures in heaven (Matt6:19-21; Matt25:35-40)
4) Condemnation to non(Christian) that Pay not Tithes and Offerings
Judgment of been missing out at the coming of the Lord Jesus at rapture for has many that failed to yield to His call of salvation (1Thess4:18-22) and likewise eternal damnation for them that died in disobedient or that turn deaf hear to the word of salvation, lost of life and things tightening for a Christian that choose not to honor God with their Tithes and Offerings (Acts5:1-11).
