Troops recover Nigerian Army Armoured Personnel Carrier from fleeing Boko Haram, clear more terrorist camps

Troops of 120 Task Force Battalion of the Nigerian Army have recovered the Nigerian Army Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) earlier captured by the terrorists during an attack on Buni Yadi on July 9, 2015. “The APC was discovered at Golgore River line and it has since been evacuated,” Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said today.
He said in a statement in Abuja that Golgore camp was cleared yesterday, Tuesday, March 15, 2016.

“During the operation, quite a number of the Boko Haram terrorists were killed while one of our soldier sustained gunshot wound. The solder’s condition is stable and is currently being managed at Damaturu General Hospital,” Col. Usman said.

“This operation has further proven our commitment to rid our country of the menace of Boko Haram terrorists and other criminal elements in the society,” he added.
The Army Spokesman also disclosed that the troops today cleared Boko Haram’s camp at Bulasari.
